I know Kiely made up for his mistake in the penalty shootout, but in the league you do not get penalties to rectify for your error during the game, last nights 1st goal conceded was terrible (albiet terrible weather conditions).
As i said last night to the guy sitting next to me, Kiely is a better keeper when he has’nt got time to think about what he’s doing. If he thinks he makes mistakes for example running after a no hope ball towards the corner flag and leaving his goal beckoning.
I personally do not have 100 percent confidence in him, i may be harsh but too many mistakes are creeping in as late, and i know he can produce match winning saves but that is what he is paid to do.

We definetley need to invest in a keeper in my opinion

Now now E&S, a deal is in place and fee agreed for Ish,however if it is not activated in the Jan window then it can be reviewed by either Man city or WBA.. Which will no doubt open the doors to other clubs.

What you should say is Ish is considering whether to sign to WBA in Jan at the deal agreed when his season long loan began.

You also reported yesterday that both parties would talk again in 2 days time.
    Has this changed?
If not then talks have not stalled have they ……. in fact negotiations continue after Daneks current club refused to agree to a loan with a view to a permanent move in the summer.
You could say that it is stalled, you could equally be more positive and say talks are ongoing - unless you have information that alters what you said yesterday.

Why do you always give the Baggies news a negative spin…

Mick does not believe we are weak in that dpt. we need 5 more strikers apparently.

The way i see it , if we have 11 strikers, atleast he’ll have to play 2 IN their correct position., but apprently we are stuck with him for atleast the rest of this season…

Putting together a mini run of 3 wns, and somehow sneaking into the playoffs will still be considered a massive failure by many many Wolves fans, going up must, for now atleast, be put on the back burner.

Freddy, I still have faith in you lad, please put the mindless ramblings from mad mick behind you, and set this league alight !!

    COME ON YOU WOLVES !

Tony Mowbray needs to go now. Last nights performance was unacceptable, yes we will go up this season, but this guy wont keep us up. Get Big Sam before the dingles snap him up!

Come on you Wolves…get behind the team & support through thick and thin as you say you do…then watch it improve

    Baggie Born ‘n’ Bred

Its clear and simple why, I heard on the radio today all negative comments about our win last night, there was no mention on who scored for us, what the score was, who we are playing in the next round, when it is, where it is going to be held etc. Lets face it the media despises us simply because clubs like Wolves and ourselves keep business out of the newspapers so they will always try to put us down because we dont sell them stories.
It very childish really, i’m just glad us Albion fans have clocked onto it and know how to IGNORE the trash they try to feed us. One simple rule my old man taught me.

Only believe what comes from the horses mouth.

I actually cannot believe some of you fools are calling for TM’s head.

Lets get real. We are 2 points clear of the table, have the best goal difference going. Even if we draw the next game we will still be top, this poor performance you are all complaining about was a game played in awful conditions in which both teams were gifted goals from the rain. The match prior to that which you are moaning about we scored 3 goals!!!! i dont know what your problems are…go to a brothel or something. Whatever helps.

After only getting through the cup last night without scoring ten and only being two points clear at the top of the division it is clear Mowbray is not the man for our Premiership/FACup/League Cup treble next season or our successful champions league run of victories that will follow.

Yes right, these comments were written by Albion fans - NOT.

It doesnt even qualify as a nice try by Wolves WUMs.
It doesn’t even qualify as a pathetic try by Wolves WUMs.

Sometimes I despair of the E&S comments, too many clowns that dont know there elbow from their nether regions.

Apparently Steve Morgan has said Mick is here for the long term, meaning at least till the end of NEXT season!!!!!!!
I now feel forced into supporting MM, but this could be a stroke of genius from Morgan. If we give Mick 3 or 4 seasons he will have to have turned it round, therefore proving to us FICKLE fans that managers can turn it round. So in the future we will give all our managers more time rather than do a Newcastle.
On the other hand we could get relegated under Mick next season, (but at least it will shut the glory hunting premiership moaners up)and that will ruin our faith in managers. But at least Mick would never work again. I’m sure Mick would turn it round and we may be winning this division in a few seasons. Can I waite this long?

Too many Dingles this morning bored of their own stroy lines and trying to stir a debate here.

Weird comments on here, obviously this passes as humour in the environs of the West Midlands Open Prison or Wolverhampton as it’s known locally, strange people, I won’t claim to understand them. We even have someone posing as Happy, unless he has gone very surreal.
Anyway, down to last night. Kiely hasn’t become a poor keeper on one performance, I’m sure he wouldn’t mind having another keeper who’s a serious threat to his position at the club to keep him on his toes. I have every faith that TM will bring the right players in, presuming JP allows it.
On the subject of JP, should we be hoping for someone with mega bucks to take over at the club or dreading this. We must think this way if we hope to keep our manager and players these days but is it a poison chalice. What do others think?

All keepers make the odd howler - even hennesey the boy wonder has let a couple go through him this year. Yes deanno should have done better with the first, but he more thsn made up for it.

Not sure what some people expect - Sunderland paid £9M for their keeper and he is making plenty of mistakes. I think we stick with deanno as long as he keeps this current level of consistency.

This is TM’s first full season. Top of the league and almost all the other team managers believe that the baggies are a premier team in waiting. TM’s doing a great job as far as I’m concearned and all we need is some more competion for the goal keeper position. When we move up to the premier league we will need to strengthen at the back.

  30. We8Dingles said:

I am trying to look for the future, yes Tony Mowbray will get us up this year - FACT, but the guy has no clue about the premier league, we WILL go straight down - FACT! At least if we had someone like Big Sam come in, he could build on what we already have and keep us in the premier league. I am 32 and have been a season ticket holder for 15 years, I just think we need to sort out our future now, as lets face it whatever manager was in charge of us would get us up, look at our squad compared to anyone elses in the division.

Big Sam for me, any other suggestions?

  31. BoingBoing666 said:

Future blue and white - what have you been smoking????
This league is one of the most competetive going, you obviously have been into football for all of two weeks, and your not the only one on here today (2 + 8). Most of us real Albion fans are worrying every time a prem manager gets the sack that TM is gonna be top of the list as a replacement due to the excellent job he’s done. Watching ten minutes on match of the day doesnt qualify you to an opinion!

  33. Kent Wolf said:

Me thinks the anti-Mowbray posts are by fans from different teams.
    Comment 10 for instance.Everybody knows Happy_baggie uses a small b & not a capital B!
TM is doing a damn fine job at the Hawthorns & I along with genuine football fans wish him & WBA all the success that we crave for ourselves.
The idiots posting anti-Mowbray comments need to go to the naughty step & only use Crayola crayons, as their rantings on here are quite silly!

  34. Wolves the Champions said:

    What’s going on??

Why do you want TM out???

Your top of the league and do well,

You struggle a little last night in the cup but still go through.

I wish the Wolves were doing as well as you lot.

Through thick and thin, up the Wolves.

  35. ThePennyDrops said:

Who are these idiots calling for TM to get the sack?!
I am possibly one of the most cautious Albion supporters around, I said for a long time I was not certain about Mowbray at all but now he has my full support and I believe he has the mangerial skills required to keep us in the Premiership. We have the highest goal tally in the League, we’re top of the table and through to the next round of the FA Cup and people are COMPLAINING?? Jesus…

  36. Kent Wolf said:

    35 ThePennyDrops:
these comments saying Tony Mowbray are probably being posted by silly Wolves fans using pseudonyms.Ditto some of the anti-Moxey/McCarthy rants being posted by Albion fans.
I would’nt worry about them too much.
The one area I would possibly see TM strengthening at the moment, is Goalkeeper.Kiely as been a good servant wherever he has played, but is a little long in the tooth now.

  37. Baggie Boy said:

Happy dont bite mate they are bored you and I know which are the only decent wolves fans worth holding an adult posting session with.

We are not playing too well at the moment but ask any manager better to play poor and win than outstanding and lose!!

4 Tony . Yes ok Deano makes the odd mistake but being part of the goal keepers union if the defence did there job correctly there should be no need for a keeper because the ball should never reach the goal. You look back on game this season and you will find that Deano’s saves have gained us more points than his mistakes have cost us.

I however do agree that a top class keeper is needed because competition for places is a good thing to have in any team

    Regards

Funny - in my early days of supporting Wolves the Baggies were never called anything other than that & their fans never called us anything other than wolves. Where has the dingle rubbish come from? too many young souls who can’t stop watching tv long enough to actually attend a game.
Oh yeah, also as the area I grew up in was mixed race (wolves & Baggies) we actually used to go to each others grounds to watch 1st division (equivalent of Premier now) football if we couldn’t afford an away day with our boys - those were the days

Weren’t Arsenal stupid appointing Wenger when he had no experience in the Prem. Now do you appreciate how stupid you are?

  46. scotwolf said:

    to all baggies.

as a wolves fan i think you must be mad to want rid of mowbray.

look where you are in the league, still in the cup, look at how many goals you’ve scored. you play decent attractive football.

you have a good amaanger that wants to play the game the right way, i would love to see this style of football at molineux and certainly some of the goals.

mowbray will do well in premiership obviously with more investment.

at hibs he was outstanding and regularly beat rangers and celtic, with this style of play i am sure you would stay up this time.

hurts to say but you are getting promoted this season whilst we will be lucky to make playoffs.

stuck with mick for rest of season

I agree this season i do still think we have got enough to do the job we intended on doing promotion, the bonus will be Champions which i think we will do.

Onto next season, Goalkeeper & Defenders are needed and they need to be high quality, Premiership players will have a field day going forward and 3 goals scored for us might not be enough in some games just like Reading this year score 4 concede 6/7. don’t get me wrong i don’t think we are to far being able to establish ourselves in the top flight but i few quality defensive & GK signings are needed.
