A lorry driver has been jailed for three years and nine months for killing a Staffordshire family of four when he fell asleep at the wheel.
Ian King, 61, who has a condition that causes drowsiness, had been found guilty of causing death by dangerous driving in December.
Jurors heard he hit a line of cars on the A34 near Bicester, Oxfordshire, on 31 July 2006.
Lichfield residents Malcolm Dowling, 46, wife Janice, 42, and sons Richard, 16, and George, 11, were killed.
The family, of Brownsfield Road, were on their way home from a holiday in Brittany in France.
King, of Groby, Leics, was found guilty of four counts of causing death by dangerous driving.
He was sentenced at Oxford Crown Court on Friday.

A friend of mine in BUCKS during the 1990’s was killed by a lorry driver who was messing about with his radio, rather than the road. He received a menial sentence.
The above article is proof positive that those who kill people whilst driving should go to jail !!!!
Amazing how a complete family can be destroyed yet he’ll be able to return to a normal life after 4 years.
Not even a year in jail for each killed family member.
Is four years long enough? no I do not think so he should be in prison for life four times over,because he killed four lives which is bloody disgusting,I am so sorry for the relatives.
