if offered 4m for hennessey and sell on clause it would be mad not to accept it. good prospect but every player has a fee. if we did sell why not get stephen bywater of derby if they looking at sorenson. i think he out of favour at the club and would be better replacement.
as for kightly, he wont go anywhere! till the summer then he will move on. we cant stop him really, unless we somehow went up. all the big players in this league seem to get a move after 1-2seasons no matter how many times the clubs states that player is not for sale. so maybe a deal involving routledge?? if gobern can be fit for summer that we already got replacement

sammy Lee !! What a joke , I would like anyone who reads this site to give me a list of what smmy lee has achieved in management apart from holding the record as the worst premiership manager ever. This surely cannot be true? If this happened i would return my seson ticket immediately, I am getting increasingly concerned that nothing is happening in the transfer window yet surely we must have had players lined up to come in? I will say something now, at least 3 players will join sunderland this week and you can guarantee that we will get one or 2 of these cast offs. Sammy Lee would be a disaster, What a great spell he had at Bolton when put in charge. I think this is a rumour to get us to back McCarthy, as we would much rather have him than Sammy Lee.
If they have lined up Sammy Lee what message would that send to McCarthy and the team. i think it is utter tripe for the press to spread things like this.
One thing though if they did go for him they would not break Wolves wage structure as you could probably get him for a grand a week and it would continue Wolves proud History of a club with no ambition.
As for Hennessy and Kightly then they have been getting tracked since the beginning of the season. If we are building a team for the future then these are two of the players we need to keep. If we sell, then its another clear indication that the club has no ambition and that money to the boardroom comes before team affairs. Then again there would be one winner if they got sold and that would be Moxey as he seems to take a significant share of any transfer income.

good point, i hate it when fans and boards get managers sacked after, for example, 10 bad games. They have usually served the club very well in the past as well but this all seems to be forgotten when no one wants to take blame. Its a ridiculous business decision on the suits half and I’m gobsmacked it happens so many times.

On a more serious note, being totally honest, no one at the Albion was over the moon when Gary Megson pitched up as manager. Not saying that Sammy Lee is the answer, just that you shouldn’t write people off as a knee jerk reaction. Don’t forget, 18 months ago MM was the Messiah, now he’s just a very naughty boy.

The loss of Breen, Craddock and Kightly were massive blows but whats all this about sacking McCarthy? WHY? Sammy Lee…..behave, you might as well go back and get Sammy Chung. Re Saturday´s report of an offer of £ 500.000.- for Brann´s left back Erlend Hanstveit: One of the local newspapers in Bergen yesterday claimed that Wolves have not seen Hanstveit play and that they rely on the word of a Danish agent. “I have sent them two videos and they rely on my word”, the agent allegedly says, also stating that in his opinion EH is the best left back in Scandinavia. The newspaper also claims to know that Wolves´s “first” offer for Hanstveit will be turned down.

15: I think it’s abit early in Hennessy’s career to be slapping a price tag like that on him, I agree he’s has shown lots of potential during his short time replacing Murray, but there is still some nurturing & maturing to do on his behalf reference a couple of silly mistakes that have happen lately.
I do think he will develop into a very good goalkeeper in time, but a question to you is, When Matt Murray is fit who would be your number 1? if your answer is Murray then how much are you saying he is worth?

Sammy Lee would be an absolute disaster and I just cannot see Morgan doing that. Morgan still needs to prove himself at the moment and such a high risk appointment would make no sense at all. Ince, Billy Davies or even Mike Newell if we need a scouse link would be better.
We do not know what’s going on. Does Mick have proper transfer targets - players that can move us forward that are being worked on, has he run out of ideas, or is Morgan refusing to back Mick’s recommendations in the transfer market?
One week into the transfer window and we still haven’t signed anyone despite the need to do so being crystal clear. Why is that?
Whilst MM seems to be frustrating us all with his team selection, you have to admit that some of the poor performances of late, the players should bear some of the responsibility. Performances have been below par in comparison with our ‘over-achieving’ last season.
Sacking MM is clearly not the answer, and Sammy Lee is not the answer. Patience is what we must have and we MUST start getting behind the team. Booing never did anyone any favours.

I think everyone has become slightly bored with how things are going under Mcarthy but lets not forget he has previously won this division so he must know something. The problem is: I think we may get in a few good players in Jan which can turn this season around, but if we don’t, ‘because they weren’t availible at the right price’ then we might as well give him to the summer so this season becomes a write-off. Then how long do you give the new manager to reach the premiership?, 18 months again? Just food for thought. Kites & Wayne are going nowhere. They are happy at the moment at wolves and we don’t need the money. Obviously in the future they want to play in the Prem and hopefully that will be with wolves in the not too distant future. We need to buy good players not sell them!

WHY?? carson & gordon have both played in european competitions and have high level experience. hennessey has had half a good season. i’d pick a fit matt murray anyday over him. forgot he was wales number 1, (WOW!! the world’s 40odd best team’s keeper is worth £10m, your havin a laugh)

As Wolves fans we need to get behind Mick and the team. Wolves historically have sacked Managers to quickly to try and fix a problem that is deeper than the Manager. We have had a bad time recently but I am sure we will come good. Look at Crystal Palace and more recently QPR. This division is very poor with all teams beating each other. 6ft 2ins of muscle man, excellent player and if McCarthy passes this gem by then wqe can kiss the second half of the season goodbye as well. This guy believe me can hold the ball up well and is an excellent target man, and also scores some cracking goals, I,m not just bullying up because he is a fellow countryman but he really can play. He is now a free agent so wouldn,t cost the club any transfer fee, I believe Muppet man must sign him now and get him straight in the team next week against Palace.
