Last match before Christmas and our girls were certainly up for this match.

We dominated the game from the start and kept in control of it most of the way through really.

I played a 3-2-1 but this time the girls gelled really well.

Our Jess played in goal for us and was really superb. Her goal kicks would have put Paul Robinson to shame Saturday!!!

Emily and Connie played upfront and you can really tell that Emily is having the match experience now because she knows where to be and seemed to be always in the right place for the pass.

Unfortunately for Emily the defender’s were all over her and midfield needed to give her more support upfront.

Connie worked well around the defenders and is so gaining in her confidence now.

Midfield I played Steph, Georgia and Paige. Steph had her best game I would say. So I kept her on - simple as that!

She was like a fiddler’s elbow running up and down the pitch and putting the challenges in. She never once backed down off a tackle.

Georgia and Paige were once again creating so many chances and Georgia’s crosses are turning out superb.

Paige scored from a pass from our defender Fay. Right place right time me Whizz of a Winger!!!

Our defence is now very strong.

We have Chantel, Fay and Rosie.

Chantel has really improved since last season and is a dominant player in defence. She tackles hard and when you give her a job to do with marking a player she marks them off the pitch.

Rosie - Rosie’s 1st season with us and she has really impressed me with how she listens takes everything in and performs on the pitch. With Rosie, you only have to tell her once and she’s got it.

Fay - she put the cross in for this goal today. A superb player and most of the opposition back off from her (dont blame ‘em!)

A few times she went on her usual run and it’s a pity that the goalie just got to one of her shots because that was going straight through the roof of the net!!!

A fantastic game for the girls. Picks them up no end to have a well deserved win.
