just got home from watching the Qld Roar lose to Melbourne but my god…the boys in orange played fantastic, played their hearts out, and played adventurously. We are still top of the table here tho.

Allbrighton is a good player, Pitt is small but very tricky and the keeper could play at a higher level. Big Leo might just break into a trot and Boylan is capable of shinning the ball in.The team try to play and dont do the Beck percentage high ball of old (but successful)1990s. However, thet wont be clever enough.They wont give up though….

This is yet another example of our managers limitations. After a promising first season he has shown he cannot make the next step and take us into the Premiership after being given money to spend.
Tactically we look inept, without Kightly we have no creativity, today was the ideal opportunity to give Mark Davies his chance, especially seeing the average Olofinjana and Henry were missing. Unfortunately he bottled it and recalled Potter.

2 - The penalty was an atrocious decision. How can anyone in their right mind blame Collins?
3 - We won!!The team didn’t panic, created quite a few chances and came out on top.
MM isn’t the muppet round here - it’s the so-called fans who are never happy and think that there is something clever about complaining.
So - a piece of advice. Go and get your coaching qualifications, get some experience in football management and apply for the job if and when it becomes available. If you know so much about it, why aren’t you already there doing it?

This was another absolutely abject performance by Wolves. Devoid of method or know how. Cambridge were there to be rolled over with the minimum of effort.
Why oh why does Mick persevere with Bothroyd he was again abysmal and it must cost an absolute fortune having the grass seeds taken out of his arse after every match. He spends that much time on the floor with the slightest puff of wind appearing to upend him. He even got himself booked for diving today, which was as much effort as he put into anything. How some fans can say he is our most complete football is unimaginable.
Should have been one up in the first 15 seconds when Jarvis got inside the full back and then opted to try and put the ball in to Boothroyd instead of putting it in the net, which would have been easier. I guess this shows just how tentative the players are.

Mark Davies is not good enough - he has only played for England at all levels up to u19’s including captaining u17’s. Quite obviously not good enough to play in our team - especially as he is not called Mark O’ Davies and was not born in Sunderland, Ireland or Barnsley.

131. Luck, with the exception of the Charlton game and Norwich which we should have won by bags more but the Muppet decided to run his players into the ground and made no substitions against 9 men. We were Ok against Watford and still managed to blow that one. We did good at Cardiff and Sheff Wed too, so 4 good performances out of 29 is pretty dire in anybody’s books wouldn’t you say?

124 david - we have as much right to express our opinion as anyone here. MM continues to ignore the other options available to him whilst we are enduring a drought of goals but instead continues with 2 central midfielders who (by there own admittance) are under performing. He stated in the pre match reports that he wanted a quick start and a quick goal so he leaves the 2 strikers with the most goals this season on the bench and starts with Keogh (who i like as a player) who apparently is still recovering from a chest infection and as such had to be substituted at half time!!
He bought Jarvis as a replacement for Mcindoe on the left wing but has continued to play a striker in that position instead of the natural left winger (who incidently had another good game in that position today!
No i have not got my coaching badges but then again it is blatantly obvious, to not just me but the majority of the people who post on this site and turn up week in week out to watch the dross that we have been serving up this season, that Mick Macarthy appears to be totally clueless as to how to solve our current problems.
So - a piece of advice support the team in the way that you deem best suits you but never tell the rest of us fans that we are not entitled to our opinion and also how we should support our team!!!

I hope for his sake MM gets the sack so he can have a chance to progress, if not we will lose him or we will drag him down to micks boringly negative level! Back home after watching a close game between two evenly matched teams. A draw would have been a fair result. Looks like Wolves have found their level and congrats to MM for taking them to this standard. Until Kightly emerged a Wolves goal looked very unlikely. jarvis deserves more chances so does freddie. Bothroyd must go, so must Mick so must Moxey so must Connor. This was close to being one of the most embarrassing results in Wolves history. We didn’t look any more like a goalscoring team against Cambridge than we do in the Champiosnhip. Hopefully the result doesn’t save MM, hopefully Morgan can see how low we are sinking and how boring we are.

Absolutely DELIGHTED that we actually managed to turn it around, as any Wolves fan should be! If Kightly can stay free of injury and we have a bit of luck in the transfer market - and overall in the remaining matches of the season, it MAY turn out rosy after all. It would take a major transformation from what we have seen so far this season, though, which IMO is not very likely with the present manager in charge.

Where on this planet (not yours) did you hear muppet McCarthy say he wanted to get someone like Kites to give an even balance to the side. We bought Jarvis to do just that but doesn’t give the lad a chance to prove his worth. Why does he keep playing Bothroyd? Give Freddie an extended run with Keogh (when he’s recovered from his chest infection) Keep a balanced midfield by bringing in Mark Davies who is not injured, but seems to be out of favour with the muppet.
I’d love to see us go on from this result but I honestly don’t see it happening with MM.

Crikey, whats with all the moaning, Im getting fed up with it all. Unlike a lot of the moaners on this noticeboard I actually went to the game today to support the lads. Neil Collins had a dubious penalty awarded against him and then SCORED the winning goal.
Im not naive enough to think we dont need to improve, we need to start scoring quick!! However, Im realistic and think we need to give this manager time rather than pressing the panic button - where has it got us in he past.

I got out of my sick bed to go and watch that crap when I really should have listened to my wife and stayed put. I don’t care if we scraped a win over the mighty Cambridge, Wolves were rubbish. Yet again we see that Collins is out of his depth, even against a non league team so how he manages to stay a regular is completely beyond me. Bothroyd looks to me like he couldn’t give a damn and falls over like a wilted pancy. My 8 year old daughter can stay on her feet better than he can on a pair of ice skates! He is an absolute waste of skin and does not deserve to wear the Wolves top. I would love to see him sold to…Cambridge maybe, along with Collins.
I’ll tell you what proved how bad Wolves have become, was the lack of regular season ticket holders in the South Bank today. The row I sit in was full of the “kid for a quid” brigade and part time fans who clearly had nothing better to do at 1400 hrs on a Saturday afternoon. The fans that hold season tickets are so fed up with the crap this team have dished up all season, they’ve had enough. I only keep going at the moment because I’ve paid for my seat.
And before the “in MM we trust” & the “stop moaning and support the team” party and the idiots who persist in singing “super Mick McCarthy” at every home game get on my back, I’ve been to every home game for three seasons, have payed for a season ticket, been a fan all my life, am Wolves through & through, and have parted with my hard earned cash to see decent football, but that is my opinion and I’m entitled to it.

To be fair to MM we didn’t deserve to go in half-time0-1. We had broke through a couple of times and were considerably closer to scoring a goal in open play than we have been for weeks. However Neil Collins did it again.WHEN will Mick learn that Collins is just not good enough for this level of football. He is to blame for more goals conceded than he could ever score yet Mick insists on playing him instead of say a slightly quick Rob Edwards. How must Foley and Ward feel playing next to that donkey. No composure on the ball, loses it too easily and plays team-mates into trouble all the time. As for the goals, if Craddock or Ward were asked to make the same runs from corners they probably get a few too but they’re not one of the gaffers pets!

I think that the fact that wolves cant win without kightly is pathetic. Now I am a major fan of kightly and think hes a fantastic player, but a team shoudnt mess up because 1 player is injured (which is what has happened at the recent matches)Im a season ticket holder so have seen all the matches and so far without michael kightly this team struggle to win. And I also think that if Mick Mccarthy doesnt strenghen wolves we are going to end up near the bottom of the table instead of the top.

Well it was just like I said yesterday - we were on a hiding to nothing with some of our fans regardless of the score. We fought back to win and although it was a narrow victory, only a Conference level side etc etc, we are in the 4th round which is more than we can say for our illustrious neighbours!! Let’s look on the bright side folks - we won, Kites is back, we can sign some players to help us push on. I think that for the Palace game, Mick has to start with the best players for each position, which in my opinion means Eastwood and Keogh upfront, Jarvis (RM), Kightly (LM), Henry and Gibson, with Gray, Craddock, Collins, Foley and Hennessey at the back. Can this result kickstart our season again? We shall see… time to get behind the lads and the manager and help resurrect our promotion push.

124. David Did you honestly go to the game? A result against Cambridge is not a turning point (no offence to Cambridge). We were clueless and if it weren’t for Kightly I guarantee we wouldn’t be looking forward to another crap game being served up for us!
I’ve tried my hardest to stay positive but game by game I’m becoming more disillusioned. I admit I left at half time because I refused to freeze to death watching another 45 minutes of uninspiring, clueless football.
By the way David, most of us are true fans and it’s amazing how many season ticket holders are coming less frequently and leaving before the final whistle. Morgan should take a hint from that but I guess Moxey couldn’t give a toss because he’s already had our money….think about that before you start slating other fans. By all means put your opinion up here but think about it before you put it up

just got back to cornwall after watching a bung of clueless leaderless average players (not cambridge).this was the most alarming of all the recent results..we would have lost without kightlyand we will lose again without him..no flair or ideas in the oposition half..trash …but il be up 4 the palace game with renewed hope anyway and drive back to cornwall with a sore throat.

Let me firstly say I was once a scout at the Wolves and I travelled the midlands looking for good young talent. I found good young talent and Tony lacey who is a scout at the wolves refused to even look at the players I found. I will name them 1. Tom Huddlesson (Spurs) 2. Michael Mcindoe (Doncaster) at the time I have watched Staurt Fleetwood (Forest Green) and he could be the answer.The only problem at The Wolves with there scouting academy is that if Bob Bennett or Tony Lacey do not find the player they rarely get a chance to go to the academy. The sooner Mr Morgan see’s what is happening behind the scene the better or we will never produce the likes of Keane,Lescott and Naylor again. We have bought good young pro’s thru recently ( Davies, Gleeson, Jones) but MM
will not play them. The crowd at the Wolves would love to see a good home grown side with the right manager. Paul Ince is the man to lead WWFC into the next step. Mr Morgan act now offer Paul Ince the job. before England grab him next time round.
