Tragic actress hoped for dream wedding

Saturday 5th January 2008, 11:22AM GMT.

The fiancee of Wolverhampton television presenter Mark Speight talked about her hopes for a dream wedding with him before she died.

Actress Natasha Collins, aged 31, was found in the bath of the home they shared in London on Thursday and Speight has been bailed on suspicion of her murder.

Today it emerged she had spoken about her wish for a “fancy dress wedding” with Speight, whom she met after starring alongside him in children’s programme See It Saw It. In a message to former classmates from St Michael’s Convent Catholic Grammar School in North Finchley, London, on the Friends Reunited website, she said: “Finished my drama degree at Kent Uni and have since encroached upon the seedy and fickle world of acting. Had a few mishaps along the way, such as running into a moving car, of which I am now recovering from.”

The actress added: “I plan to set up a production company with my compensation that I am due from my road traffic accident……and have a huge fancy dress wedding with my ‘Smart’ prince charming Mark Speight and no doubt have lots of monkeys.”

Her profile also said she was keen to have children.

Police said a suspected drug overdose was one line of inquiry they were considering but Speight’s mother Jackie speculated she may have died after taking the wrong medication for a condition.

She also said the family had just enjoyed a wonderful Christmas together with the pair.
