16.58: Final whistle goes and it’s a replay at The Hawthorns in ten days time.

16.54; Into injury time at the Valley and it is still locked at 1-1.

16.47: Madeley: “Both sides are looking desperate to avoid a replay”.

16.43: The home crowd are restless, they have been screaming for the introduction of favourite Dickson.

Pardew responds by bringing Dickson on as part of a triple substitution.

16.39: Albion make their third change, Morrison on for Koren. McLeod’s shot is too close to Kiely and there are jeers from the home crowd at their striker’s efforts.

16.31; Into the closing 20 minutes and can either side force a winner or else it’s all back to The Hawthorns.

16.21: Another Miller effort, this time from closer to the goal, flies wide. Neither side will want a replay that’s for sure.

16.19: Play is held up when one of the linesmen slips on the touchline and injures himself, and the whistle goes again for another delay when Barnett snaps a corner flag.

Referee and linesman meet to discuss the offending flag stick before deciding to make running repairs before starting play again.

16.16: Miller tries his luck but his 18-yard effort is blocked.

16.13: Varney’s shot is tipped over by Kiely to keep the game level.

16.07: Double change for the Baggies at half time. MacDonald and Pele on for Cesar and Gera.

15.42: Matt Holland goes in the book as Charlton try to restore their lead against an Albion side playing their normal attractive football.

15.34: Albion pull level and it’s Miller’s first goal since returning from injury. Good ball in from Brunt for Miller who heads in from close range.

“A goal of real quality” says Madeley.

15.30: It has been a typically open first half hour at the Valley, there should be more goals in this one.

15.27: Madeley says Teixeira is looking the Baggies biggest threat, finding plenty of space in the visitors’ 4-4-1-1 formation.

15.25: Gera goes in the book for Albion.

15.13: Zhi tries another effort which is parried by Kiely, it’s all Charlton so far despite the home side making five changes to their team.

15.11: Lots of changes for the Baggies and they have struggled to find any rhythm so far.

15.09: Albion survive a scare when McLeod’s shot is saved by Kiely and Lloyd Sam fires the rebound over.

15.05: Brunt’s free kick curls over everyone as Albion mount their first attack

15.02: Early goal for Charlton, Zhi on target. He strikes after just 33 seconds from close range. Scrappy goal according to our man at the Valley Steve Madeley but a cool finish from six yards.

14.25: Four changes for the Baggies but a fairly strong side put out by Mowbray.

Albion: Kiely, Hoefkens, Barnett, Cesar, Albrechtsen, Greening, Koren, Gera, Brunt, Teixeira, Miller.

Subs: Steele, Beattie, MacDonald, Pele, Morrison.

4.00: It could be two near reserve sides today. Both Alan Pardew and Tony Mowbray are set to ring the changes.

The question is, does either side really want to win this one?

I think tomo should give macdonald a decent run in the second half . Alongside miller . with both their pace should worry any defence . although still feel a home win could be on the cards . hope not

Lets take a positive from the result, we sounded like we were poor today but yet we have gone away to Charlton and scrapped out a draw, in may instill some extra positives in the players head that they can get something when backs are to the wall.

You never know we might pull Wolves in the 4th round. would make our replay interesting

    LCW.
Foreign Legion? How long has the Republic been part of the UK? Are you saying that you don’t want any non UK players in your struggling ranks, because you spend most of the time complaining about your English/Irish players?
PS. There’s an old Sam Cooke song that goes ‘Don’t know much about history’ etc, listing all the things he doesn’t know much about. Add football and it could be your theme song.

1-1 fair result a replay is not favorable as i would rather have promotion than a cup run anyway. As for 12 Loyal-Cannock-Wolf please do not get carried away, this proves just one thing you are a one man team without Kightly your nothing and please try and remember who you beat hardly a Arsenal or Man Utd are they
