Managers back Chasetown

chaseees.jpgWest Midlands managers have queued up to give their support to Chasetown’s FA Cup bid against Cardiff City tomorrow.

Wolves boss Mick McCarthy, who has allowed the Scholars to train at Compton today, said: “I’m delighted for the Chasetown lads, they’ve done fantastically well.

“I’ve been there before when a smaller club goes against a larger one in the Cup and that is what it’s all about. That’s the magic of the FA Cup.”

Albion manager Tony Mowbray added: “It’s great for them. I saw the highlights of their game against Port Vale and great credit for them.

“It was obviously exciting for them and we could see the pleasure and excitement it gave them in winning that football match.

“As a local side good luck to them.”

Villa boss Martin O’Neill said: “We’ve developed a working relationship with Chasetown over the last few years and I’m delighted to see them doing so well. I wish them all the very best against Cardiff and for the future. It’s a fantastic story.”

Walsall chairman Jeff Bonser said: “Stories like Chasetown are what makes this competition so special.”
