A father who disappeared during a family meal sparking a police hunt has been discovered dead in a reservoir in Netherton, it was revealed today.
The body of shopfitter Nigel Attwood, aged 29, was found in the reservoir at Lodge Farm on December 22. Mr Attwood, from Lantern Road, had been missing for a month.
Opening an inquest, Black Country coroner Robin Balmain confirmed Mr Attwood was found in the reservoir and there were no suspicious circumstances.
He said: “He had told friends and relatives he had had enough and was going to commit suicide.”
Mr Attwood disappeared when he walked out during a meal at home on November 17. He was believed to be depressed.
