Three sign Walsall deals

gerrard1.jpgWalsall have been given a major boost, as three of their young stars have signed new deals.

Defenders Anthony Gerrard and Scott Dann, along with forward Troy Deeney have put pen to paper on new contracts, which will keep them at the Banks’s Stadium until the summer of 2010.

Saddlers manager Richard Money is pleased to have secured the services of the talented trio and  said:“We are absolutely delighted. This is another significant step towards a successful future for everyone at Walsall Football Club.

“All three players have had an important influence on the team’s success this year and we feel sure that they can continue to have the same impact.”

The Saddlers also hope to tie up a new long term deal with left-back Daniel Fox, who was recently the subject of an unsuccessful £250,000 bid from Leeds United.

Fox’s current deal expires in the summer and his fee would be set by a tribunal should he choose to leave because he is under 23 years old, but talks are said to be “progressing promisingly” between the club and player.

this is grea news and scotty dann is already a walsall legend and is only going to get better. His partnership with gerrard his the main reason for r run of form at the moment.

the back four looks solid at the moment and i dontr really want to single any single player out.
