No new Leeds bid for Fox

Walsall star Daniel FoxPromotion-chasing Leeds are playing a waiting game in their pursuit of Saddlers talented young defender Daniel Fox.

The Whites have had a bid worth potentially more than £250,000 turned down and they have not yet returned with an improved offer.

The League One giants have targeted the 21-year-old as they look to recruit a left-back during the January transfer window.

United boss Dennis Wise opened the bidding with an offer that could be worth more than £250,000 to the Saddlers if all of the clauses are invoked.

But Walsall have dismissed the first bid out of hand and are now waiting to see whether whether the Whites return to test their resolve further with an improved package.

Fox has been arguably the Saddlers’ most consistent player this season, especially since he reverted to his preferred left-back role following the knee injury to summer signing Paul Boertien.
