Police probe house death

About a dozen officers were around a new semi-detached house in Bowen Street, Parkfields, Wolverhampton, after discovery of a body yesterday morning.

Forensic officers were examining the house and a black BMW X5 outside. Police say the death was treated as “unexplained”.

One neighbour, who asked not to be named, said police asked him if he saw or heard anything the night before the body was found.

He said:“All that I could tell them was that I had previously seen a man and a woman unloading shopping from the BMWX5 outside one of the homes on the estate.”

Det Insp Verley Tyndale said: “The investigation into the circumstances of this man’s death is at a very early stage. We appeal for anyone who may have seen anything suspicious or who may have information which could prove useful to the investigation to contact us.”

The house is on a new development being built to transform the former GKN factory site near Birmingham New Road. Many properties are still unoccupied as work progresses. People should call 0845 113 5000 or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
