The owner of Ashleigh House Nursing Home in Sedgley and a maintenance worker have been jailed after being found guilty of sexual assaults.
Ramesh Ramchelawon, from Brecon Road, Handsworth, and Chitrakumar Ramluggun, of Sandringham Drive, Willenhall will have their names added to the Sexual Offences Register for 10 years.
The pair worked at the nursing home, owned by 45-year-old Ramchelawon, who denied two charges of sexual assault and two of indecent assault. Ramluggun, aged 51, denied eight counts of sexual assault.
None of the victims were residents at the care home.
Ramchelawon was jailed for 12 months including two consecutive six month terms. Ramluggun was given two nine month consecutive terms with a further three month and six month term to run concurrently, making a total of 18 months in prison.
Judge Nicholas Webb said Ramchelawon had “encouraged Ramluggun’s exploits” because they were related. “Ramluggun you would not take no for an answer and you used your family relationship in the care home as a protective shield to get away with these assaults. Ramchelawon you were in a position of authority which you flagrantly abused.”

How vile that in a place of such trust they should behave like this.
look if you don’t know the story then don’t judge ok.. now adays if you touch someone on the arm its classed as assault so Gods knows how the system is changing. One more thing he was not the owner so get the facts right.

i find it absolutely dispicable that these two pieces of filth basically got away with what they did,they should of been given a much bigger sentence and put on the affenders list for life
i feel sorry for his children,because they now have a life time of abuse from people that know them and will definately have no-one to look up to or correct them when doing wrong. shamed on mr ramesh and his relative
shame on who??? there is no shame, did you see him abuse anybody no!!! those people who made the false reports on that they were being abused should be shamed its terrible that people can lie and get away with it, sending innocent person to prison is a sin..
how do we know they are related???
i know ramesh well and i have always told him his inappropriate behaviour will get him into serious trouble one day,it looks like his day has come, you dont get sent to prison for being innocent and get put on the register for 10yrs for nothing, in the papers its says his relative was involved and i am a close member of the family,i dont like whats happened either, but the law is the law

stop accusing ramesh…. why….. him nor his co accused are innocent they both decided to act upon their disgusting,depraved and lustfull feellings and unwanted attention to their victims,they could have not done it at all but… temtation was too much for them. A 12mth sentence and 10yrs on the sex affenders list sounds far from caring, i know the law sometimes gets it wrong but i agree with hundreds of other women get these filthy people off our streets and in prison where they belong. He is lucky he got the sentence he did but will he change his ways….. i think not.
