Swifts hand loan man a debut

swifts.jpgStourport Swifts will hand a debut to loan man Peter Wood as they bid to reverse a run of two straight defeats against Aylesbury.

Boss Paul “Ocker” Davies swooped for the Evesham defender in a bid to bolster a back four that has conceded eight goals in two games – and he is set to come straight into the reckoning.

Ocker is looking for a response from his side – and revenge after they were thrashed 5-0 when the two sides clashed at Walshes Meadow earlier in the season.

“It is a very tough game away to Aylesbury but we haven’t been that bad over the last couple of games – we’ve just conceded some very soft goals,” he said.

“That makes it virtually impossible to go on and win games, so we will be looking to do much better on that front.”

Chris McCominsky is suspended for the game.
