Billy Wright?
Willie Carr?
Derek Dougan?
Carl Cort (only joking!)
Some players with major honours for the Wolves missed out!
Sorry guys , as much as i loved bully how can Billy Wright not come above our Bully .
Over 100 caps for England and as much as a local lad as Bully , how can this be ?
Photo 1 was taken in Cannock two weeks ago. Thats how they dress over there.
Steve Bull was a great player for this club and I have nothing but admiration for him, but I have to say that in over 50 years of supporting Wolves, Billy Wright has to be our greatest player during that period. Each generation has its ‘greats’ and I am sure that the generation before me might have scoffed at my suggestion as well. In any case, comparisons are odious.
What about Andy Reeves? He’s a star in the Orange n Black. Shocking.
3 - that made me laugh out loud.
happy boggie why dont you stay on your boring boggie sites and leave the glorious gold and black alone you saddo
Bully was greatbut sorry guys it must be William Ambrose Wright.
Captain of Wolves and England,105 caps,Honved,Moscow Dynamo,Spartac etc.etc.
yes definetly billy wright and dont forget that tackle he tried against hungary in 1963 always worth remembering.
stan cullis,,,john richards, bully is a legend but it must be billy wright…
I think most of the older Wolves fans would agree that our Billy is Number One! Bully 2nd - just ahead of Bert Williams
As a fellow Tiptonian just like our Steve, as a fellow pupil of Willingsworth High just like our Steve I am proud to have these links with an Icon but I too must agree Billy Wright should be number 1.
Dont forget your roots Steve come back and see us.
Steve Bull greatest all time Wolves player? Sorry but I have to disagree with you. Bully certainly knew how to bang in the goals but he did not play in a team that challenged for major honours, played only a few times for England, not 105 times, didn,t play against some of the greatest ever european teams in his career.
Sorry if you disagree with me but WOLVES all time greatest player will always be a certain
MR WILLIAM AMBROSE WRIGHT.
and for all you young uns information, WOLVES greatest all time manager will always be a certain
MR STANLEY CULLIS.
