pics 1/3/5/6 - can those possibly be empty seats at the best supported team in the world ??
Having listened to commentry of all the midland games last night (like most of the wolves fans) I’m just suprised the E&S managed to find so many pictures where you had the ball.
Very poor atmosphere last night but I think that was due to it being “after the Lord Mayor’s show”?
When Colchester turn up in a mini bus, there isn’t much you can do about the total attendance figure (our lowest league home fixture).
Still, we can still be proud of the fact that ANOTHER crowd of over 20,000 were there - a figure we are still to dip below.
If we were playing fantastic football and turning teams over 3 or 4 goals a game, I’m sure we could look forward to full houses every week without the need for kids for a quid.
Before the usuals suspects jump on my opinions, I agree with kids for a quid if only to secure the next generation of fans.
Happy_Boggie are you aware that so far this season your average league attendance is 21300 per game compared to the Wolves average of 23223. Before sundays game your average attendance was around 20500. Considering that you are doing well in the league and still havent lost at home thats actually a bit poor dont you think?
Whoever wrote these photo captions should do their homwork better - Micky Adams is the Assistant to the manager, Geraint Williams. Nice to see Mr McCarthy giving a rounded picture - ie giving some credit to the opposition. That’s refreshing - even if not much consolation!
Yes mate i did go 2 the home game and i did go southampton on a tues night!local fan me mate so dont give me that!
just going 2 get my barnsley tickets 4 NEXT TUES NIGHT!
happy baggie is a sofa fan!
Personally I don’t give a fig about your / our attendances - it’s just funny that there are so many orange seats on show when you lot bang on (and on and on and on) about how many matches you all supposedly attend.
“People keep going on about the shortage of goals scored. Someone will shortly, in my opinion , be in for a slaughtering. Hopefully it will be tonight. Once Freddie and co hit the net and get a little more confidence in front of goal then we should be ok.
Lets not get on the lads backs tonight should we not break the deadlock to early, remember the game lasts 90+ mins”
As per usual the early break through did not occur and along came the sections of crowd that start getting at the players, surely this does not help.
I openly admit that it was a poor performance but vibes from supporters must have an influence on the way a player performs.
On a different subject Kites and Daniel Jones were sat behind me and my lad last night in the family enclosure. When Kites got up to leave at the end it was very clear by the way he was walking that there is no way that he will be fit for the weekend or for the foreseeable future.
Have you noticed how Happy_Boggie doesnt “give a fig about your / our attendances” once it has been pointed out to him that their attendances are lower than ours. Funny that. I suppose when they had 19,000 fans against Sheffield Wednesday the poorthorns was full and there were no empty seats anywhere!
Happy stop being such an idiot. You know full well the lower tier of the Steve Bull Stand is the away end. Albion fans have complained for years about what traditionally reins down on them ….
Wolves fans a bit quiet last night, thats for sure!
However, I didn’t hear you lot, for that matter I couldn’t see you either, where exactly were you sitting?
You’ve got a nice little team there, you must be very proud of the lads, bet you didn’t think you would have been playing the big clubs a couple of years ago?
Mr happy baggie as all my fellow wolves fans have pointed out to you already, all the empty seats are in the away section. So stop studying are pics and what do you think of miller going back to city for treatment, you wont see him in a albion shirt again.
Happy. I posted on one of the other stories about how many of our supporters travel from the south(like me) which is impossible midweek due to no trains coming back after the game.
Remember mate, Wolves have a massive nationwide(not the building society) support. Were not a little local club like yourselves..
Happy Baggie you said you listened to commentry on all Midland sides last night, you must have been listening to 3 radio`s at the same time, do you have ears where the sun does not shine.Alan Hanson better watch out with you about, your a genius. UP THE WOLVES.
albion fans… how many fans u averaging this year even with reduced ticket prices… you only come to watch the wolves last week u clowns. best team in the league…yea rite
Wasn’t there myself last night, so can’t comment on this match. It does seem that it’s been tougher this season for CUFC - we are a small club (average 5000 fans - so count your blessings!) in a big league and it’s a tall order to compete on resources, especially when all your star players get poached by ‘bigger clubs’ in close season. But compete we seem still to be doing - the margins are so tight as we aren’t being thrashed. Need to have a bit of luck and some of these results might start going in our favour. Either that or expand the goals by 2 inches…
We wasn’t sitting, we were standing at the back behind the goal, i think there was about 40 of us who thoroughly enjoyed regardless of the result, see you in March
Abdon 18. Agreed. The reason they vote with their feet is simple.
The stripey lot are the minnow 3rd team in Brum. Their biggest home attendances occur when Villa & Brum are away. A lot of those 2 clubs fans can’t be bothered following their own teams away but they fancy a game of football so they go to the hawthorns to have a bit of a giggle & to appreciate the own teams better. When they are no longer amused they stop going.
happybaggie when your lot have had over 20,000 every week you can comment and we don’t need 20,000 there to out sing your lot like last sunday HENNESSEY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

i bet u didnt go 2 plymouth last night did ya boggie!
its the away section you fool
20,010 attended unlike other teams yesterday who only had 11,000
No I didn’t go to Plymouth - a tad too far mid week for me. Bet you didn’t even go to ya home game.
They can’t ALL be the away end can they - or did you give away the southbank again ??
Oh, and I see Plymouth had their biggest crowd of the season last night - just to see the mighty Baggies.
Very poor atmosphere last night but I think that was due to it being “after the Lord Mayor’s show”?

The attendance was 1,000 up on last year’s home fixture against Colchester which was on a Saturday afternoon.
It was 3,000 up on our midweek fixture this time last year against Crystal Palace.
So everythings looking up. Empty seats?? What’s your point?!
Yes mate i did go 2 the home game and i did go southampton on a tues night!local fan me mate so dont give me that!
just going 2 get my barnsley tickets 4 NEXT TUES NIGHT!
happy baggie is a sofa fan!
There were about 3000 wolves fans that stayed away last night. Still not a bad turn out for a championship club.
Happy, there are many things to have a pop at but I think you are barking up the wrong tree if you think attendance is one of them.
Albion are second best in that department, always have been!
8 - the only reason i never sit in the away end is cos you give us the southbank… god this is too easy sometimes.
7 - I’m getting stick off radio boy !! At least i was there sunday.
Personally I don’t give a fig about your / our attendances - it’s just funny that there are so many orange seats on show when you lot bang on (and on and on and on) about how many matches you all supposedly attend.
i dont normally reply to happy boggie but i am this time..you are either a backwards bloke or a baggies fan,oh wait there no difference is there.
I stated the following on an earlier posting.
“People keep going on about the shortage of goals scored. Someone will shortly, in my opinion , be in for a slaughtering. Hopefully it will be tonight. Once Freddie and co hit the net and get a little more confidence in front of goal then we should be ok.

Personally I can’t see where you are coming from on this one. All attendances are published and they are just facts.
If we were in the premier league playing Manchester United last night then the ground would have been packed. Less people will turn up for Colchester.
Still, you know that so why bother with the wind up, you can do better than that!
In all the years that I have been going to football matches (since 1973) there are a couple of things that I have noticed about Albion and Wolves;
1. Wolves fans tend to moan a lot
2. Albion fans vote with their feet quicker and stay away.
Don’t know if you agree with me?
Humpy
We’re ready for the PREM.
No licks of paint needed down here mate!

Wolves
Average - 23223
Lowest - 20966
Baggies
Average - 21300
Lowest - 18310
can’t wait to bring you back to molineux and thrash you!!
3-0??
4-0??
what do you think??
18. Spot on.
Happy stop being such an idiot. You know full well the lower tier of the Steve Bull Stand is the away end. Albion fans have complained for years about what traditionally reins down on them ….
Outsung by 130 away fans, tut tut
CUFC
Wolves fans a bit quiet last night, thats for sure!

@ 5 H_B.
Maybe because they had a new manager? We get better crowds than you lot, so don’t talk about attendance.
Happy. I posted on one of the other stories about how many of our supporters travel from the south(like me) which is impossible midweek due to no trains coming back after the game.

Happy Baggie. The main reason for Plymouth getting their highest attendance was not to see your lot but to welcome Paul Sturrock back
albion fans… how many fans u averaging this year even with reduced ticket prices… you only come to watch the wolves last week u clowns. best team in the league…yea rite

130?!?! More like 10!!
