Jim Rides Out for ‘special’ gig

wd2466227.jpgControversial comedian Jim Davidson says he loves the warmth, honesty and non-political correctness of West Midlands folk.

The funnyman spoke to the Express & Star ahead of his The Devil Rides Out Live tour date at the Civic Hall next Monday.

And he said this is the most important show he has ever done because this time he has a really important message.

Davidson, aged 53, who was kicked off the Hell’s Kitchen reality TV show earlier this year for alleged homophobic comments to gay fellow contestant Brian Dowling, insists everyone is sick of political correctness.

It doesn’t take much to spark a rant. He said: “Political correctness is getting people of all races down.

“We’ve all had enough of not being able to put Christmas trees up or have nativity plays in school. As soon as you say anything these days, you’re an ’ist. People, mostly those who haven’t seen me, call me a racist, a sexist, whatever.

“People should see this show because I believe what I have to say is really important.”

He claims he got a raw deal on the Channel 4 programme.

“I was stitched up on Hell’s Kitchen. I didn’t like Brian Dowling as a person, not because he’s gay.

“My gay friends in showbusiness have much broader shoulders. Our differences are talked and laughed about. Certain words were bandied about for days. He took offence when it suited him. He and other people are not famous for having talent, they’re famous because they were on TV. Maybe that has something to do with it.”

Davidson says the Civic Hall is special and he can’t wait to renew his acquaintance with the home city of his fourth ex-wife Tracie Hilton.

“I always look forward to going to the Civic. It’s a brilliant venue with great facilities and a nice big auditorium.

“Wolverhampton people are very welcoming and I appreciate their honesty.

“The Fordhouses mafia will be there. My ex-wife has re-married now, so that has eased a financial burden.”

Davidson was declared bankrupt after her divorce settlement left him without enough cash to pay a £1.6 million tax bill. The couple divorced four years ago and have three children.

Is this an inadvertant insult? That West-Midlands folk are not politically correct?
Does Jim comfort himself into thinking that people around here are as narrow-minded as he is?

    Get real Jim.

Nobody could have stiched him up on Channel 4 if he had not provided them with the ammo of his bigoted words in the first place.

He only has himself to blame.

Let’s not forget that Jim has consistently fought for perhaps one of the most politically-incorrect causes of all: standing up for the lads and lasses of our armed forces, and giving both his time and his talent to remind them that the ordinary people of this country value them and salute what they are doing - even if this Government can’t be bothered to.

Jim Davidson is a tool of the highest order.

We aren’t all brainless, racist morons in the West Midlands.

Lowest common denomenator comedy for brainless idiots.

    Too true Jim.

Too much New Labour political correctness gone mad.

Jim as done more for our troops than any of our PC MPs and the so called new age celebrities.
