What is the worst album ever?

Oasis - Be Here NowWe want to know what you consider to be the worst album you have ever heard.

This week, the Guardian newspaper is running an exhaustive list entitled 1,000 Albums You Must Hear Before You Die.

If an album is on average 45 minutes long, to listen to them all would take 45000 minutes or 31 and a half days.

While this prospect is too tiring to contemplate, we are compiling a much easier list - 1,000 Albums You Must Not Hear Before Your Die.

We may not reach 100, let alone 1,000 but we want readers to add their suggestions using the comment box below.

To get the debate going the Expressandstar.com team suggest the following:

Bruce Willis - The Return of Bruno

Oasis - Be Here Now, Standing on the Shoulder of Giants

Westlife - World Of Our Own

Steps - Step One

Chris de Burgh - Into The Light

Any records by the boy / girl bands of recent years - that must make the total well over a thousand already !! It’s a fate worse than death having to listen to any of them !!

How about “Supposed Former Infatuation Junkie” by Alannis Morissette.
Living up to the superlative, emotionally-charged “Jagged Little Pill” - one of the best-selling albums of all time - was never going to be easy. However, with SFIJ Alannis sadly decided to disappear up her own backside completely, in what must rank as one of the most pretentious exercises in whiningly introspective pseudo-intellectuallism ever foisted on the music-buying public. Even Sting and Bono sound light-hearted by comparison!

More quality journalism from the guess and star.

Heathen Chemistry is even worse than the two Oasis albums you list.

    How about:
    Crocodile Shoes - Jimmy Nail
Swing When You’re Winning - Robbie Williams
    Invincible - Michael Jackson
    Thank You - Duran Duran

James Blunt’s Back to Bedlam is the worst album ever made. I have heard it is widely used as a weapon of torture.

It’s actually a lot harder to name a worst album ever than it is a best album ever, as there’s been so much dreck released in the last 10 years.
‘Be Here Now’ is certainly one of the worst albums I’ve heard, along with anything by the likes of Coldplay and Travis. Compared to bands like the Smiths, these groups sound so dull, timid and witless.
