I remember the comments from Jones & Moxey after the game, something about the Wolves looking at the bigger picture and their promotion to the premiership, also all the Wolves players bragging about their end of season trip to the Bahamas. It’s no wonder we caught them, Megson didn’t need to motivate the team after all that.

Much like last season in respect of squads really

wba 2001 - had the battlers, the work rate etc…

wolves 2001 - meant to have the more flair, skill in players like miller, kennedy etc..

so last 6years that has turned on it head! saying that if jordeo been sent of like he should of that season could of all changed etc.. but you could say we got lucky in games etc…

the first time i realised wba had pipped us is when they got like 90th min pen away to bradford

i had the hope on the last day but in my mind i already knew the fate of that day

Quite simply my favourite season, we also had a good cup run ended by Fulham in the quarter final (if memory serves).
Having recently watched the video of that season you forget what a great season Jordao had for us.

Fantastic season, means so much to all the Baggies fans.
We worked so hard that season to catch the dingles, and the timing couldnt have been much better, That penalty at bradford, scored by Igor Ballis (i think!) was fantastic, i was in sheffield at the time and just went crazy! fdantastic memories of that season, and beating Palace was fantastic too! (but im sure some old fool thought at Akinbyi was going to score a hat-trick that day!) haha

Seriously, how fat does Paul Butler look in this picture. Was he our slowest centre back ever? makes Breen look like linford christie!!

well seasons come and seasons go,six years on and we’ve both been in the prem and got our arse kicked, yet everytime we play each other it’s still more exciting than beating man utd 1-0,so come on wolves lets make a game of it on sunday and my forecast is 2-0 to the wolves?.
