Vipers v Starlands

A hard fought game just edged by Starlands. First half was end to end football. starlands opened the scoring with a goal from Beth Arrowsmith.

Both keepers were kept busy. Lane Head eventually equalised with a shot on the turn from Chelsea Main who had peppered starlands goal throughout the 1st half.

Second half was dominated by Lane Head due to a brillant defensive performance from girl of the game Lucy Parke who even hit the post late on in the game.

A shot from Chelsea Main hit the post too. Midway through the 2nd half starlands scored another goal.

Unfortunately for Lane Head a mix of great keeping and the woodwork kept the ball out of the net and prevented an equaliser although charlie godwin and micheala haynes had a cracking shot each.
