Chasetown are hoping to take a 5,000-strong army to Port Vale after reaching the FA Cup second round.
The Scholars made history by making the last 64 ties when they beat Team Bath 2-0 on Saturday.
The tie is set to be played on either Friday, November 30 or Sunday, December 2 as Vale’s Potteries rivals Stoke are at home on the Saturday.
But the game – between teams five levels apart – may be moved anyway for live screening by the BBC or Sky TV which would bring aa further six-figure windfall to the Church Street coffers.
Chasetown were backed by more than 1,500 supporters at Twerton Park at the weekend, but the club believe the excitement generated, plus the prospect of a Staffordshire derby can attract more than three times that amount.
Chairman John Donnelly said: “We’ll be taking a minimum of 5,000 fans to Vale Park.
Manager Charlie Blakemore said: “It’s just a dream. Port Vale are a local, League One club and although we have virtually no chance of winning, we’re going to enjoy the occasion and try to compete as best we can.”

As long as its not on teh Saturday ill go down and support them as they’re a 5 minute walk from my house they are my local local club
I went to Twerton park at the weekend and the Chasetown fans took over the whole stadium. It was like a home game.
Hopefully we will be picked for MOTD coverage as well.
Come on you Scholars!
Saturday was a great day out and with the perfect result, Port Vale may think they have won this tie but this could be the shock of the round. The Scholars will take them all the way with a huge following. We need to close Chaseton for the day to support our lads, Cmon you Chase.
Any idea when the tickets are out?
Blimey, 5000 crammed into a stand that holds 4500. That will be fun!
