Tracy Spicer-Neal was the lucky winner of a makeover competition with high street store New Look. And the chain enlisted the help of Gok Wan, presenter of the Channel 4 series How to Look Good Naked, to perform the stylish makeover.

Mother-of-one Tracy, who lives in Penn, said she entered the competition because she was fed-up with her look and in particularly her tummy.

“I really hate my belly,” the 4ft 10in blonde said.

“And I was almost tempted to apply for Gok’s TV show, although wasn’t brave enough to strip naked so didn’t go through with it.

“Instead I applied for the New Look competition and was delighted to be picked.”

The 36-year-old, who works as a catering assistant for Marks & Spencer in Wolverhampton, said her usual wardrobe was casual, featuring jeans and t-shirts.

But Gok, who performed the makeover at New Look in Birmingham’s Bullring, decided to spice up her look and produced an outfit for her which transformed her into a rock chick for the up and coming festive season.

She stepped out in a glitzy silver and black sequinned mini-dress, teamed up with black tights and black knee-length stiletto heeled boots as well as a silver metallic cropped jacket.

And Tracy’s verdict? She loved it.

“I can’t remember the last time I’ve worn a skirt or dress,” she said.

“This is something I would never pick myself, but it is fantastic.”

Gok said he thought Tracy looked amazing.

“She’s very petite and very cute so I wanted to give her a bit of a 60s look and a glam look,” he said.

Tracy was one of only 10 people selected at random from 1,500 entries.
