Rhinos 3 went into this second game of the day full of confidence after winning comfortably in there first game.
This confidence was shown straight away in the first quarter with the rhinos starting the scoring off in the first minute through Piers Baynton.
Rhinos shot well in this quarter getting open shots with good ball movement.
The defence was strong stopping their main big man from getting into the key for his shot which disrupted Stratford’s flow.
The second quarter is where the Rhinos took full control of the game outscoring the opposition 14-2; this was due to excellent defense and good ball movement on offense which is something rhino’s have struggled with in the past.
The third quarter was tougher this may have been due to rhino’s thinking they could cruise to the end which wasn’t the case.
The result of this was sloppy offense with turnovers and a couple of defensive errors giving Stratford easy baskets. This quarter finished 8-6 to the Rhinos.
The fourth quarter wasn’t much different with the teams being even trading basket for basket but the Rhinos where ok doing that with their lead.
Stratford realised this wasn’t going to be good enough for them so they started fouling to put the Rhinos on the line to stop Rhinos from scoring.
This plan worked but Stratford was unable to convert the baskets on the other end.
The game finished 43-26 to the Rhinos.
