Wyrley started this game with 3 first team players missing due to injuries but had the luxury of new signings Katie Warmer and Amie Poole added to their squad and they proved to be assets to the team.

The first half saw Wrockwardine defending really well and Wyrley wasting chances, the first goal came when April Phillips made a run up the wing, crossed and Stacey Arnold was there to put the ball past the keeper, the second came when Carena Dixon battled and won the ball again on the wing and crossed into the box for Jade Brooks to meet and score a well taken goal, at half time the score was 2-0.

In the second half Wrockwardine worked hard to contain the constant attacks and managed for quite some time but the pressure finally told with another Arnold goal, their goalkeeper was superb and when Phillips was brought down in the box she saved the penalty awarded.

Jade Ward then went on a run and cut in to shoot, the shot wasn’t a powerful one but the keeper couldn’t hold on to it and to her dismay saw it trickle over the line.

Arnold then ran into the box and the Wrockwardine defender trying to get the ball under control to clear wasn’t quick enough and Arnold took the ball off her and scored  making it 5-0, just before the full time whistle went Arnold was once again superb when she took on 2 defenders in the box, was brought down, quickly got back up, got the ball and scored.

The final score was 6-0 and this result takes them back to the top of the table.

Player of the match was Jade Ward
