Willenhall boss chasing players

Willenhall Town FCWillenhall boss Mel Eves is hoping beat the clock and freshen up his squad before tonight’s trip to Stourport Swifts.

The Lockmen suffered their fifth successive British Gas Business League Division One Midlands defeatwhen they slipped 1-0 at home to Romulus at the weekend.

Eves insists it’s only a matter of time before his side turn the corner, but believes they may need new blood – particularly against opponents who have won three on the bounce.

“It is going to be a tough game for us,” said Eves. “It’s a big game and we need to get back on track but at the same time we are not that far off.

“The run of results is a concern and we have address certain things.

“We are also looking to freshen up a bit because we do need one or two more players in and around the place to get us moving.

“I’m hopeful we might get a couple of new faces in time to play tonight.”
