Chasetown took full advantage of being the only league fixture by moving to within four points of leaders Leamington with two games in hand.
After surviving a couple of scares, the Scholars took a 16th minute lead through when Craig Holland fired home a low drive after a misplaced pass.
Chasetown made it 2-0 when striker Kyle Perry ran through after collecting a ball over the top to slide home his fourth goal of the season.
The Scholars continued to pile on the pressure.
