Trio in to boost Pitmen

starbuck.jpgBeleaguered Hednesford have three new signings available for tomorrow’s FA Trophy first round clash at Willenhall - and two more coming after the weekend.

The Pitmen have 10 casualties, while deposed captain Dave Macpherson has been booted out, Sam Wood has had his registration cancelled and newboy Ashley Woolliscroft, who only signed two weeks ago from Kidsgrove, is the subject of a seven-day approach from Stalybridge.

Boss Phil Starbuck has swooped for Harrogate’s Lee Whittington, Bromsgrove midfielder Wayne Dyer and former Conference midfielder Neil Brisco for the tie.

Utility man Jason Blunt has signed but is ineligible after playing for Goole, while the Pitmen have served seven days for Ilkeston striker Neil Ross, which expires after the weekend. Starbuck is keeping his fingers crossed some of the following walking wounded will be fit.
