Willenhall Town FCWillenhall Town bowed out of yet another cup competition at the hands of local rivals Sutton Coldfield last night.

It was the visitors who had the better chances in a mundane first half.

Craig Thomas should have taken the lead after seven minutes.

Goalkeeper Steve Jackson failed to hold a slippy ball and Thomas was on hand to drill a shot goal-bound, but Liam Newell was in the right place to block the effort.

The decisive moment of the half came on 17 minutes.

After Dan Harvey was adjudged to have committed a foul inside the area.

Beckley stepped up to hit his penalty to the right but Jackson guessed the right way.

Sutton took the lead on 48 minutes when Leon Doughty curled an a superb free kick.

The visitors doubled their lead on 80 minutes with Thomas hitting a fine shot and they bagged the third through Beckley.
