Worcestershire have won the battle to sign England Ashes hero Simon Jones.
The pace ace, who has struggled with injuries over the past two years, is set to sign a two-year deal at New Road.
Worcestershire have been trailing the 28-year-old for the past month when it was announced he would almost certainly leave Glamorgan at the end of the season.
The Welsh outfit had offered a new deal, but Jones has plumped for New Road.
Glamorgan’s cricket manager Matthew Maynard said: “It was a very tough decision for Simon and I know it’s been a huge weight on his mind over the past few weeks.”
