Match of the day saw Vic Market Tigers win by the odd goal in five in a thrilling encounter with All Saints.

Under 10s East Division

Well the Lane Head roll just goes on and on - but the bonus this week was the award of the Express and Star Junior Team of the Month - a well deserved accolade for a team that not only knows how to win, but does it in the right spirit of sportsmanship.

Congratulations to the boys and the management. Two more victories, no goals conceded, and more goals from Jack Arnold means that Lane Head now need only one point from their remaining four games to clinch the East Division championship.

Two goals from Jack, and two more from Russell Heathcock earned a 4 - 0 win over Smethwick Sikh Temple, while Jack doubled that total to hit four in the 7 - 0 win over Perton and Codsall East, the others coming from Kameron Moore, Jack Whitehouse and Jake Proffitt.

These results left the race for runners-up spot and the automatic Premier Division place wide open. Both Smethwick and P and C are chasing that position, but P and C stuttered with a 1 - 1 draw against Wolverhampton Development Panthers, a result which helped Panthers into that chasing group.

Jake Sharman was on target for P and C, with Ryan Hughes netting for Panthers, who followed up this draw with a 6 - 1 win over new boys Bustleholme.

Jack Simcox was the hat trick hero, with Lee Gregory, Ashley Wilcox and Alex Nyari also netting. Jacon Wheale was on target for Bustleholme.

Meanwhile, Smethwick Sikh Temple were not going to let the Lane Head result affect their performance, as they ran out 7 - 2 winners against Salisbury Rangers.

Sangat Bassi hit a hat trick, Joshua Bernard a brace, with Rajut Clare and Aran Singh also on target. Deon Gallagher and Saabragj Khasria hit the net for Salisbury.

So we now have Smethwick in that all-important runners-up position, ahead of Perton and Codsall on goal difference, and Panthers just a point behind.

South Division While Lane Head were taking the Express and Star team award, it was from another one of our teams that the Player of The Month was chosen, and again it was a team that has dominated the division.

Wednesfield have won all ten of their games and sit proudly on top of the table.

Just two more points will see them guaranteed the champions spot and a place in the Premier Division.

This has been in no small part down to the skills of Todd Brindle, and he thoroughly deserves his award.

Todd didn’t score this week, but Jamie Goodwin hit a hat trick, with goals from Robert Baker and Luke Mitchell seeing them through to a 5 - 2 victory over New Park Village, for whom Frank Hill and Khaellem Russell were on target.

This was followed up with a 5 - 0 win over Wolverhampton Development Pumas, where Jamie added two more to his tally for the day and Robert Baker, Kane Matthews and James O’Malley also on target.

Pumas may have lost that one, but a 7 - 0 victory over Prestwood Rangers saw them move into second place in a division where the runners-up spot looks like being hotly contested.

Reiss Pugh hit four of the seven, Jack Richards got a brace and Jonathon Osbourne was also target.

New Park Village could only manage a draw against FC Perton, with Jonathon Essen’s effort being cancelled out by Andrew Shave.

Perton are now firmly established in the chasing pack, lying in third place, a point ahead of New Park Village.

West Division

In the West Division there is no clear cut favourite for the championship, as two teams are making the running.

Willenhall Town currently top the table after a 3 - 0 win over Cooper’s Casuals, and following it up with a 5 - 0 win over newcomers St Joseph’s Colts.

Ryan Bourne hit two and Adam Hill one in the first game, while in the second it was reversed, with Adam hitting a brace, and Ryan, Jordan Rayat and Joseph Matthews on target.

But snapping at Willenhall’s heels come Perton and Codsall West.

A 3 - 0 win over Rowley Rangers, with goals from Daniel Slyde, Jack Kriskinans and Oliver Lake, was followed up with the highest score of the day as they ran out 10 - 0 winners over Dudley Town.

Nicholas Cox hit a hat trick, Daniel Slyde and Matthew Finney a brace each, with Jack Kriskinans, Jack Bishop and Joshua Niven also on target.

These results put P and C into second place, 3 points behind Willenhall, with a game in hand.

Tipton Olympic are in third spot after two good wins. Adam Woodward scored the only goal of the match against Dudley Town, while Jake Langley, Adam Woodward and Billy Gough helped Olympic to a 3 - 0 win over Cooper’s Casuals.
