pitmen.jpgThe Pitmen’s excellent home victory was marred by an injury to on loan signing Sam Hall which resulted in the player undergoing surgery on his wrist.

The game had moved into added on time when Hall clashed with Ossett’s Lee Stratford and landed heavily on the ground.

Hall was taken to hospital after on-field treatment and underwent an operation to reset his wrist yesterday.

Mario Pedro had opened the scoring for the Pitmen after 10 minutes with a shot from an acute angle.

Chris Adam doubled the lead when he scored with a left footed volley after the ball fell to him after Piotr Skiba fumbled Gordon Simm’s cross under a challenge from Linden Dovey.

Paul Robinson made it three when he converted a Pedro cross Lee Tuck’s shot bobbled past Rene Gilmartin to provide the visitors with some consolation 10 minutes from time.
