Williams back for Willenhall

Willenhall boss Mel Eves is set to recall strikers John Williams and Craig Gregg when they launch their FA Trophy campaign at Belper Town tomorrow.

Williams was cup tied for Wednesday’s Birmingham Senior Cup tie with Walsall, while Gregg only returned from honeymoon yesterday.

Eves wants the pair to help the Lockmen end their away day hoodoo and embark on a run in the Trophy after seeing their FA Cup campaign end before it really began.

Willenhall were knocked out of FA Cup at Kidsgrove Athletic in the first qualifying round, a defeat which left them still looking for their first away win of the season when they head to Derbyshire.

“We want a run in the Trophy,” said Eves.
