Hednesford fitness fears

Hednesford manager Phil Starbuck is backing his battle-scarred players to declare themselves fit for tonight’s FA Cup second qualifying round replay at Alfreton.

Ross Adams (ankle and knee) Tom Marshall (calf), Tom Ward (ankle), Danny Blair (illness) and Ross Dyer (medial knee ligaments) are doubts for tonight’s tie in Derbyshire while Dominic Heath (ankle) is out.

“I’ll find out later who’s available - the lads aren’t having the opportunity to get right because there’s no breathing space between games,” said Starbuck.

“The lads worked very hard and showed a lot of passion and work ethic on Saturday and we’re going to need more of the same tonight as they’re a big, physical team.”
