Man on threats charge in court

police_05.jpgA man accused of threatening his ex-girlfriend’s father, along with a string of other crimes against her family, has appeared in court.

Iraqi national Hazar Mohammed Ahmed, aged 25, of Swan Street, Pensnett, has also been charged with possessing cannabis worth up to £15,000 with intent to supply.

Dudley Magistrates Court was told that Ahmed threatened Roy Harper, father of his former partner Rebecca Harper, while in a BMW car he is accused of stealing.

Ahmed is also accused of assaulting Rebecca Harper, stealing her mobile phone, threatening to kill her sister, Mandy Harper and threatening to smash windows at the White Swan in Holland Street, Dudley.  

Ahmed indicated no plea to charges of possessing a firearm with intent to cause someone to believe unlawful violence would be used, taking a vehicle without the owner’s consent, dangerous driving, driving without insurance, driving while disqualified, assault, theft, threatening to kill, criminal damage and threatening criminal damage.

He is also charged with producing and possessing cannabis and possession with intent to supply.

Ahmed was remanded in custody and is due back in court on Monday.
