Brilliant Wolverhampton asset Tai Woffinden picked up his second major title in three days when he won the British Under-18 Championship at Monmore Green on Monday.
Woffinden, currently on loan to Premier League Rye House, romped to a faultless 15-point maximum to take the title so soon after he was crowned Conference League Riders’ Champion.
The vital race came in heat 15 when he came up against Eastbourne’s Elite League star Lewis Bridger and he managed to edge him out for a priceless win.
Bridger and Scunthorpe rider Josh Auty enjoyed a spectacular tussle early on in a meeting which offered some entertaining racing.
Wolves bosses will hold talks with Woffinden, 17, and his family at the end of the season to agree a strategy for the 2008 campaign.

Well done Tai. Pity the paper reporting on you could not be bothered to get your picture instead using scotty
it’s also a pity that he has gone on record as saying he considers himself a proud aussie
