Lockmen boss wants response

eves.jpg Willenhall boss Mel Eves has ordered a response from his players following their FA Cup humbling by Barnt Green Spartak.

The Lockmen head for Dunstable tomorrow boosted by the returns of keeper Steve Jackson and striker Tyrone Barnett from injury.

Steve Palmer is also expected to figure after not wanting to get cup tied, while Craig Gregg is available after missing last weekend’s game because he was on his stag do.

Eves expects Dunstable to give his side a tough test but is expecting an improvement as Willenhall bid to beat the Bedfordshire outfit for the first time under his leadership.

“I think Dunstable will be up there again at the end of the season,” said Eves.

“We’ve never beaten them in the three games we’ve played them since I’ve been here - we’ve drawn every time.

“But if we go there with the right attitude and get the right response from last week then we can get a result.

“Hopefully that will be the kick up the backside for one or two who thought they could just turn up and win games.”
