Willenhall 3 Woodford Utd 0

Willenhall Town FCWillenhall made it three home wins in six days after a dominating win over Woodford United at Noose Lane.

Two pieces of bad defending saw Willenhall take the lead on 34 minutes.

On loan midfielder Steve Palmer rode one tackle and proceeded to dribble forward with the ball, he decided to try his luck when the visiting defence failed to close him down and Woodford goalkeeper Matt Finlay failed to judge the bounce of the ball as it escaped his desperate dive and ended up in the back of the net.

Willenhall continued to create all the good chances after half time and doubled their lead on 54 minutes.

After some fancy footwork by Tyrone Barnett his cross to Ben Jevons was neatly lofted over the defence to Mark Briggs, who kept his composure well to guide the ball past Finlay.

Willenhall added a third on 67 minutes.

A foul 30 yards from goal saw Craig Milligan step up and launch a rocket of a shot that flew into the back of net, leaving the goalkeeper stranded.

As the home side continued to pile on the pressure substitute Mickey Eagles nearly added number four.

After Mark Briggs rolled the ball to Eagles his first time effort sailed inches wide of the woodwork.
