Eves in warning to team

Willenhall Town FCMel Eves has told his Willenhall team they must adopt a killer instinct against Stourbridge tonight.

The Lockmen dominated much of their opening day fixture at Evesham, but returned home empty handed after missing a penalty in their 1-0 defeat.

And Eves is now looking for his team make amends by finding that missing cutting edge when they step out at Noose Lane for the first time this season to face the Glassboys.

“It was only the first game and there’s a bit of fine tuning to do,” said Eves.

“Hopefully tonight the lads will show a bit more desire and we can be a bit more lethal in the box rather than just settling for good play.

“I was quite pleased with the performance but we didn’t get the breaks.”

Eves will have Anthony Newton available for tonight’s clash.
