Families using Dudley’s newest children’s centres are invited to get free help and advice through an information scheme.
Dudley Council’s Children’s Information Service has teamed up with the Citizens Advice Bureaux to run the project in the borough’s six children’s centres.
They include the most recently-opened centres in Wrens Nest and Priory.
Families who use the centres will be able to get free and confidential advice in a location convenient to them.
CIS manager Belinda Clark said: ”The project is running well in our children’s centres and we would like to encourage families who use our newest centres at Wrens Nest and Priory to take up this free and confidential service.
“The CAB advisor will be working alongside staff in each centre to make sure the service meets the needs of individual families.”
A CAB advisor will be available at Wren’s Nest Children’s Centre, in Ivy Road, on Friday mornings and at Priory Children’s Centre, Limes Road, on Friday afternoons. The sessions will last for three hours.
The advisor will support centre users with all sorts of advice about housing, debt, family life and employment. Specialists will also be available to offer more in-depth support where needed.
The project is also running in the borough’s four other children’s centres at Netherton Park, Lye, Brierley Hill and Kates Hill.
