Shoppers at the Bullring in Birmingham were able to feel the sand between their toes when a beach was set up.

Video journalist Victoria Hoe went along to find out whether the bemused public thought it was like St Tropez or Skegness.

    It seems that B’ham councillors left their brains between their toes also if they expect us the general public to like this ridiculous idea.

    This is nothing to do with the Birmingham Council Ian, it’s Bullring.

    Birmingham is a great City but we have no coastline. Lets have fun in the sun - everyone enjoys bucket and spades don’t they?
