Advantage West Midlands has made two new appointments to the development team which manages a £160 million land and property portfolio across the region – and they both hail from the Black Country.
Carla Corbett, originally from Wolverhampton, has been recruited as a development manager from King Sturge where she worked for seven years providing acquisition and disposal advice to both the public and private sectors.
Carla studied estate surveying at the University of Nottingham and after graduation spent a year at chartered surveyors Gerald Eve before moving to King Sturge.
Also joining the agency as a development manager is Ivan Kite, who has been recruited from Dudley Metropolitan Borough Council
Ivan worked on the Dudley Zoo and Castle Hill development, putting together the joint venture with St Modwen and guiding it through planning consent.
Ivan said: “Since returning to the Black Country 15 years ago, regeneration has definitely changed the area for the better.”
Stuart Kirkwood, director of development at Advantage West Midlands said: “Carla and Ivan are both excellent appointments to the land and property team.”

And Advantage West Midlands is what exactly ? Was there an election I missed ?
What type of properties are we going to see in the near future - housing or business developments? If either when do you plan to start them?
Seriously, you’ve never heard of Advantage West Midlands??
Where have you been for the last few years?
They’re the regional development agency for the West Mids.
