Tastiest treat for rock fans

The Taste of Chaos

Birmingham NIA

The Taste of Chaos Tour landed in Birmingham last night to give a lesson in rock to everyone crammed into the NIA.

With an amazing seven bands playing all in one night, there was something for every rocker to enjoy.

Saosin, Senses Fail and Underoath all kick-started the night in fantastic fashion with energetic performances.

The brilliantly angry sound of Anti-Flag was the first sign that the night could be a lot more than just a collection of loud rock music.

Patriotic speeches in between each song and riotous lyrics showed the band to be one of the many American groups opposing George Bush.

They were followed by Thursday, who were also just as good musically.

Adam Lazzarra, singer of headline act Taking Back Sunday, later entered the stage on his own with just an acoustic guitar, and played three songs including a cover of The Cure’s Just Like Heaven.

The rest of the band then joined, except for guitarist and vocalist Fred Mascherano, who is dealing with family issues.

In true spirit of the rapidly increasing fame of the Taste of Chaos Tour, guitarists and vocalists from Underoath, Saosin and Anti-Flag helped out to ensure the night finished without a hitch.
