Speeders using a housing estate road in Kidderminster as a rat run are putting children and pensioners’ lives in danger, according to residents who live there.They have called for a crackdown on the problem involving motorists driving at excessive speeds along Tennyson Way, which forms almost an oval route linking Birmingham Road to Bromsgrove Road via Husum Way and Borrington Road.
They say the problem has increased and say action is needed before someone is is killed or seriously injured.
Residents also fear more cars and other vehicles will start to find short-cuts around the area when a zebra crossing and associated traffic-calming measures are installed at Wordsworth Crescent junction.
