Two brothels may have been operating in the affluent cathedral city of Lichfield, police have revealed. Officers swooped on two addresses in separate raids in the city and arrested four people.
Residents today expressed their shock at the allegations surrounding a flat in Burwaye Close, off Sainte Foy Avenue, and a house in north Lichfield. The alleged activities at the properties are not thought to be connected.
The two investigations followed complaints from members of the public concerned about visitors to the properties. Lichfield mayor Colin Greatorex said he was shocked at the allegations.
