His book, All About Us – My Story, describes his life from growing up in Australia to living with glamour model Jordan. And after his lavish wedding Peter admitted he doesn’t like to be away from his new wife for too long. “I don’t like to leave my children or wife.
“I love my home in Brighton and being in the UK is wonderful.
“I have done lots of music stuff before in Dudley, back in 1996 when I released Mysterious Girl and more recently in 2003 and 2004.
“This is the first book signing I have done and I have noticed that people ‘up north’ dress very well and give us southerners a run for our money.”
Peter Andre first found fame on Australian talent show New Faces where he made history by being offered a recording contract by Molly Meldrum live on air.
He says: “I couldn’t believe it when I was offered the recording contract. I was just standing there open mouthed saying ‘what did she say’.”
But he added: “I have seen the Pop Idol TV programmes and I wish I could tell people that things are very different from the dream they have.
“When you do become a pop star reality hits – there is a lot of hype surrounding the job but it is hard work. It has to be the cruelest business to work in.”
Peter says his autobiography will show people that he is a real person who is more than just a husband, father and pop star.
Of his appeareance on ‘I’m a Celebrity – Get Me Out of Here’ he said the experience was a great “cleanser” for his mind. “It was a life changing experience,” he says. “But I also met the woman of my dreams.”
Father to baby Junior and step-dad to Katie’s son Harvey, Peter also admitted that he is keen to have more children.
“I am one of six children and my father is one of 12 so I do want to have more children. It would be great for Katie to have a little girl, but if that is not what she wants then I guess that dream of mine is over.”
